Which oil should I use to remove surface rust from a rifle?

my mosin nagant bolt keeps on getting surface rust on it every month or so I usually polish it off with remi-oil. I have remi-oil, WD-40, S&W gun lubricant, lube job gun oil, and hoppes. should I keep on using remi-oil to remove the surface rust or switch to WD-40?
