What has been the Experience / results after a CERVICAL MYELOPATHY surgery for the Spine..?

some of these surgeries don't work out well, but mainly on the L4/5 disks. The biggest problem can come from any nerve damage (can be caused by scar tissue) and often when that happens, the doctors pretend to have no idea what could be wrong. My doctor put me on pain pills for a year and then dismissed me abruptly because "you can't sue me now" I was shocked because I liked him very much and had no intention of suing. So, I don't mean to scare you, just to share a possibility --talk to your doctor more than I did. After I had the nerve damage I spent 3 years going to places and doctors seeking help with no results. I finally just settled on living with pain pills.

Why won't my Rock Band 2 drumset work with Rock Band 3?

You are right. McDonald's oatmeal doesn't sound good at all. When our daughter was younger we went to McDonald's once a week for a treat. Those Kid's Meals toys can be quite alluring. When our daughter got to high school we'd stop after school, for a quick snack. Then they showed the 'Super Size Me' video in school. Our daughter decided to cut out McDonald's completely & we agreed. She lost quite a bit of weight after that decision & we started to eat healthier foods. We had gotten caught up in rushing, due to our busy lives. We have slowed down some. We also saw that we could make healthier snacks at home...busy or not. Health comes first. I think it's great that you are bringing this to everyone's attention. McDonald's is trying to fool people by making it sound like they have healthier food, but they don't.

Realtek HD Audio annoying crackling/popping sounds. Nothing's helping!?

I had some old Altec Lansing speakers, some GE speakers, and some generic speakers, now i've got brand in' new Logitech HD speakers, and my computer still has an annoying Popping/crackling sound. It is prominent inside games like Flight Simulator and GTASA, but in GTA SA, the audio is distorted. But in normal computer use where no sound is being transmitted to the speakers, i still hear the crackling/popping. All of these speakers experience this. It's not the speakers' fault, it's something to do with my computer, How do I solve this? I've already got the newest driver for my computer, Realtek HD Audio Driver. This has been going on since I got the computer in 2006, so even with the original driver, this happens. is it my Soundcard? This sometimes will go away for a while and then will come back.

Usually if it's on the lip it's a cold sore... but Chill Out it's ok as long as your boyfriend doesn't have an open wound on his mouth or chapped lips that are cracked he probably won't get one. Abreva is the best thing ever made go get some (it's expensive but worth it) and put some on the spot if it's a pimple or a cold sore it will dry it up and make it go away. Cold Sores are very common no need to freak out!!! Good Luck.

Worried about strep throat bacteria becoming immune to antibiotics..?

I am frequently (last year I got it like 3-4 times) catching strep throat and always have to be taking antibiotics! Not to mention, I always get viral infections and colds , at least 3 times a year ( or more), (which btw idk if to say is because of my immunity) but I am becoming TERRIFIED of the thought that I may be becoming ,if not AM, immune to antibiotics. Getting through the tough days with a sick kid?

It's so hard to understand why things like this happen to you. My heart broke when I read your story. I cannot imagine what it must be like to watch your little girl go through all this. I lost my daughter last year. She died shortly after birth from GBS. I remember feeling so helpless that I couldn't do anything to make her better. All I can say is that God cares about you and your daughter and He doesn't give us anything that we can't handle. Though days may be tough, keep you head up and know that your daughter is going to grow up to be an amazing woman! She will be such a fighter and this will make her stronger than you could even imagine. It's so hard to sit back and watch...I know... but be strong for her. Encourage her and know that there is hope. So many advances have been made already. We don't know what the future holds, but know that she is here today and make every moment count. the national zoo is fun and free, union station is sometimes a cool place to visit. you mentioned it but any of the Smithsonian museums are great places to visit.....my favorites are the air and space and the museum of natural history. the mall is a great place to walk around, picnic etc....and urban chic is a cute boutique to shop at.

Inlaw trouble help!?

i had an agruement with my father in-law when he rang up yelling at me over having to sit on the same table as my parents at our frinds engagement party. He said that he was'nt going a day before the party cause he had to sit on the same table as my parents. i said to that isn't it time that you let bigons be bigons and he said that he is not ready to talk to them yet. My major in college is print jornalism (which basically involves writing (most often for newspapers) and today a former student who got a job with a newspaper came to one of my cles to talk about her job, and she said it is a very fast paced, pressurized, unstructured job and she really does NOT get paid a lot and she never knows when she might have to work because there is no set schedule. Im not too sure if you would be pregnant if your cycles are so different each month. I good way to know that you are ovulating is having a regular consistent cycle. But I really wanted to answer this questions because I have recently experienced a 2nd trimester loss. Incompetent cervix was the reason and the main reason for incompetent cervix is cone biopsies and leep procedures. I never had either one of these done but many woman in my support group have sufferd losses due to these biopsies. So just a heads up that when you do become pregnant talk to your doctor about this so you don't have to go through the pain of losing a child. Its very hard. Good luck on TTC. Try taking Vitex. That will regulate you very well.

Missing Maddie?

This is in regards to the missing four year old who was abducted while on a family holiday. I am so so disheartened by all the negative comments the parents are receiving. Yes, their decision to leave the children unsupervised was a bad one. The consequence of such a decision is the unbearable situaton they and their daughter now find themshelves in. I cannot believe how people are stating the obvious... even requesting their arrest. This is not by any realm of moral kindness either helpful or supportive of their pain and hurt. I cannot imagine, nor do I want to, the agony of their worry and wait. I hope Maddie is safe and being looked after. I hope she will be found or returned to her family soon. When can the "F" word be acceptable to you in a conversation?

When children are around, or when in public and people who you don't know are in earshot. I find this repulsive. When I used to shop at Walmart, inbetween the chatter in Spanish, I'd hear people talking on the phone or to each other and using the word like it was nothing. Children were close by, 5 and 6 year olds, people who might find it offensive are close by, and it's just not acceptable. Use it when your conversation is private or when you're with a group of people and the language bounaries have been established, or at least familiar enough so if someone says, "Hey, I don't like that word" it's respected.

Music in Infiniti FX commercial?

It's the most recent commercial that's airing now. From what I can remember, the automobile being featured is black, and it's being driven by a woman. If I recall correctly, she's driving through tiny shards of gl. At the end she stops the car, and calmly gets a light brown duffel from the back of her car as she leaves. The commercial seemed to be filmed inside on a set of some sort. The announcer-guy at the end does a voice over announcing the "new infiniti FX", or something, although the caption on the screen says "infiniti fx35", I believe. The music during this commercial is nice, so if you know it, please let me know. There are several infiniti commercials on youtube, none of them referring to the one I saw.

Ok this may sound a silly question but it is genuine. I have heard the argument for and against. I've seen advertising that said you should wear regardless of your skill level and discipline. Hi. I just went to the orthodontist today, pretty sure that my teeth wouldn't be that bad after not wearing the retainer continually every night, but when I got there, after an examination, the doctor told me that the teeth have shifted a lot and basically nullified the effect of braces 2 years prior, and that the only way to fix the damage was through retreatment. Now, I realize that I made a huge mistake in not wearing them nightly, and I acknowledge that it's basically my fault for what has happened to my teeth. However, do I really need retreatment? I can't bear to go through braces again, and the price of Invisalign really doesn't justify it. If I continue to wear the retainer, however tight and perhaps useless it may be, will my teeth return to the previous state as the retainer is pulling on them? Or will I really need retreatment to fix the damage. Thanks for your input.

Celsius energy drinks: do they do anything?

It is a bit misleading. On the can it says it burns 100 calories so people believe that, just by drinking it, they are burning 100 calories. But what it actually is supposed to do is raise your heart rate and help you burn more calories while exercising. But really, it's just an energy drink loaded with caffeine. I love them because they taste really good and are only 10 calories a serving. My favorite is the raspberry green tea.

My daughter want take her meds but she's getting sicker .. what do i do?

My two year old daughter has, what they said was just congestions build up, but i plead to think different, because she is complaning with her throat hurting, her nose is constantly running, and she has a AWFUL cough. She also has on top of that a double ear infection. She's taking 3 meds, but one is for if needed for pain. All the meds taste NASTY! Her appetite has completely gone, which her peediatrician said that is normal, to not worry, just let her munch on whatever she will eat, and give her plenty plenty fluids. The only thing I can really get her to eat is apple slices, gs, and oranges, and pretzel sticks. So putting the med in her food is not an option. I've even tried several times putting her meds in her drink but the med is so strong that she knows it's in there and refusses to take it. I've tried talking to her, because she understand its to help her, but she is constantly saying "its nasty mommy/or/daddy" she's tried taking it like a big girl when we first started and the taste literally gagged her. There's no since in shuving it down her throat because she will puke it back up. I'm so worried that she is going to end up in the hospital because her cough has gotten way worse, and she's all the time complaning about her ears. What to do?

This is from my personal experience... my father owns a female pit and she wouldn't hurt a fly. I think it's all in how you raise your dog. He plays with her frequently, but DOES NOT rough house with her. He also takes her on car rides, neighborhood walks, camping trips, etc. I have seen her with other dogs, cats, adults, and children.. she is too sweet. But I have seen some that weren't so sweet. Applying for Hilo University on Big Island of Hawaii for marine biology...Help?

I'm applying to University of Hilo in Hawaii for the fall 2010 semester..I'm a senior; I graduate in June...but I'm a resident of (upstate) New York. I want to study marine biology ( and NY colleges aren't exactly ideal for oceanic studies) and I instantly thought of Hawaii as the best option..my family heritage and culture is Hawaiian, which is why I feel a connection to the islands and why I would not want to just go to Florida or any other mainland state. I visited Oahu 3 yrs ago to visit my relatives, but I heard each island is a completely unique experience. My questions are: Is the Big Island more/less expensive than Oahu (housing-wise)? Does anyone have any personal experience or advice about the university or the island or things to do there? Should I get a dorm or try and gain residency by living in an apt? I really think it'd be an experience, but I'm going to be far from home and I want it to be worth it..my mom said she would move there with me if I went, which is why I want to know about housing costs/cost of living..I'm applying for scholarships and stuff, but I don't want to be paying back loans for the rest of my life either...I've been doing my research but there's different results every time, so I figured I'd give it a go on here..tell me what you think! Can he visit his son @ my house if I am on Housing istance?

My fiance and I were not together for the end of June, We live in HUD Subsidized housing..we have a almost 2 yr old little boy. 14 year old disrespectful and doesnt listen?

My niece is 14. She is basicly a good kid but has a mouth on her that just needs to be slapped shut. My sister doesnt know what to do with her. She talks back, talks rudely. How Can I Break a Lease Without Being Penalized?

I am stuck in the townhouse from hell. I pay $1950, and over half of the units here are section 8/low income. Now, of course they do not tell you that when you sign on to rent here. I do not wish to live among a lower cl of people who do not share the same values as myself. Also, the units are old, tacky and shabby. I really want to move and break this lease. I don't care about losing the security depost and one month's rent, but I know many rental companies will charge you rent until the place is rented out, and they can screw you over and shuffle their feet to get the place rented, thus taking your money. Need Legal Help! please dealing with criminal auto case.?

My Friend is being prosecuted because of an accident that he wasn't even involved in. He doesn't have much money, well like none. Where can he get legal help, do you know of any programs he can get into to get help. He works for the city and its another city who is hitting him with a criminal case even though they don't have somebody pressing charges. In simple here's what happen. He was driving, an accident in front of him happen, he wasn't near the car that got hit, so just like everybody else he left. I've been skateboarding for months now..and I am more of a cruiser than a trickster. Now I want to convert my transport method to rollerblading. But will I go through the same fate on mere inline-skates? Hell no. Garnett gives them energy, intensity, determination. You think they can get that from just Ray Allen? They sure as hell didn't get it with just Paul Pierce. I don't see the point in owning these dogs? They are often mistreated and abused and resulting in injuries and killings of kids, and the public is at danger from these dogs? Would like to mount speakers to ultralight titanium wheelchair any ideas?

its an ultralight titanium chair so it doesnt weight much. this gives me more to work with as far as adding weight. ive only got so much realestate to work with however for the placement so size is critical smaller the better but i dont want to sacrifice to much in sound quality. it should be a method with decent to excellent b so a subwoofer with good sound. ive looked into an all in one way of doing it but havent found yet one that looks like it will mount where it needs to go below the solid carbon fiber seat bottom. if you know of one that may work let me know. otherwise i guess ill have to mount a sub under and the smaller high speakers out the sides. it would be cool if i could have the option to add a syncronized led light kit to it. i suppose one of those square twelve volt batteries that are used to power things like lanterns and such would be a good choice for power unless somebody can thing of anything else. thanks for your time!!!!! -Weelz

What does one do in potential custody battle with an alcoholic father?

I know someone that just had a 6 month old baby w/ someone that smokes pot, drinks every day & stays out all night long. He isn't legally smoking marijuana either. She is a single mom that works 5-6 days a week and does the best she can. She loves him but he is unhappy in the relationship and calls her "Crazy" for having a problem with him going out all the time. Say's SHE is the reason he leaves because of her mood swings?! She is a very sweet person that is still hormonal after having a baby in my opinion and he makes no sense. None of the books I've seen are published by "The Utopia Press Ltd. 44 Worship Street, London E.C.2" It is in somewhat tattered shape with pencil markings on the cover & first 20 pages or so. I just read a book called tax free retirement. The lesson I got from the book is that by having universal life insurance you can put away money that grows tax free and eventually retire off of it. You retire off of it by taking out tax free loans in which you simply don't pay back. Also the money is exempt from a death tax which you can p to your kids. The whole idea sounds to good to be true. However, Suze Orman in her book "9 Steps to Financial Freedom" cautions against Universal Life Insurance all together. Please give some thoughts on this contradiction. My second question is about credit. I was always told that your "potential" to go into debt, which is reflected by the amount of credit cards you can charge is taken into account when your credit score is made. I got a bad score for having to many open accounts. However, Suze Orman in her book is saying not to close your credit cards because something called your "debt to credit ratio" affects your credit score. Can someone also articulate on this second contradiction?
